getting a red X in the body of the email , I can't type anything

when I try to type an email or reply
to one using Outlook Web Access/Internet Explorer, a red X appears in the
body not allowing me to type

When using Internet Explorer 7? Tell your Exchange admin to update the
Exchange server. I believe there has been an update for that for over a year
ago.

Note that OWA is part of Exchange and not Outlook. The correct newsgroup is
exchange.clients
