>Sounds like a driver problem,probably if you have more
than one connection type open,try this---start > control
panel > network and internet connection(if classic view
just click the network connection) > network connection >
Now look very carefully under Lan or High Speed,you
should only have 1 the 1 your using,you may have 2 or
more connections.If you do you need to disable the ones
not in use by right clicking on the connection and
choosing disable.Also if there is a dial-up connection
not in use disable it also.Leave only the connection you
use enabled.Also on that connection right click on the
connection > properties > advance tab > check the box for
protect my computer(turn on the firewall) > Ok. Also
go to the internet explorer(even if it won't connect)
click the tools tab > internet options > connection tab >
put the bullet in NEVER DIAL A CONNECTION ,then the LAN
Settings button > check the box for automaticly detect
settings > OK > Apply > OK this should take care of any
problems.
