Can anyone assist my partner in deleting Gain.Gator from
his computor. He runs Norton 2005 Firewall and Spybot.
Spybot has found Gator and cannot fix and Norton will not
respond to Gator.

Has he looked in add/remove programs? That's simplest.

Next is going to gators site and following their removal instructions. They
do, in fact, have safe instructions which don't add more spyware to your
machine, or require information from you.

So-those are the first routes I'd take. Versions of Gain earlier than a
certain number don't uninstall, though. If you've got one of those, you
could try contacting Gain support as the above link suggests, or if the
machine is running Windows 2000, XP or 2003, you could use Microsoft
Antispyware, which should do the job just fine:
