I am evaluating AntiSpyware for future deployment on
about 500 machines. Although the Beta is free will there
eventually be a license fee for using the software?

Please respond to group and email if possible.

Thank you,

James

The one you are currently testing in beta, the final release will be free to
all licensed Windows users. But there will be and advanced edition that will
come at a cost to users with advanced features for enterprises, such as
central management and group policy.

There will be a cost for the managed, centrally controllable version
suitible for enterprise usage. More than that isn't known, I'm afraid. I
doubt you will miss the announcement if you keep some eye on Microsoft's
sites.

Hi James,
As the others have reported this product will be free to licensed Windows
machines. Not sure where it kicks in on the Enterprise side when you are
running 500 boxes. Also wondering if there may be special circumstances on
the Ent edition when it comes out for .edu's.
FWIW, we run DeepFreeze by Faronics.com in my shop, and the public,
classroom, library, and general use boxes stay clean as a whistle for short
$, and no sneaker net involved.
