Basic procedure, I used to know it but how do you control or set how Windows
Explorer looks when it opens? I now have XP and when it opens it defaults
to My Documents, I'd like to change it to My Computer.

Thanks in advance,
Rob

Right click the Windows Explorer shortcut | Target box |
Replace the text with:

%SystemRoot%\explorer.exe /e,::{20D04FE0-3AEA-1069-A2D8-08002B30309D}

Click OK.

Thanks, Wes I appreciate it. Since you know your way around, another
question. Remember the old File Manager in Windows 3.1 where you could have
side by side, tiled or whatever view you wanted of your folders? It was
easy to bounce files back and forth between folders. Any chance XP has an
option for that?

Thanks again,
Rob

Rob,

Been a long time since I used Windows 3.11. :-)

Program Manager (Progman.exe)?

Start | Run | type: progman | Click OK

You can create a shortcut to it.

C:\WINDOWS\system32\progman.exe
