Just got a new hard drive and am trying to install Windows
2000 Professional Full Retail Box.
I start the PC, put in the CD, and then reboot with the
power switch.
Then I get a black screen and an error message "Operating
System not found".
The Full Retail Box did not come with a boot/startup
floppy so I tried putting in a boot floppy (from W98se
full retail box)and do get a MS W98 Startup Menu but the
options are frozen on "1 Start Windows 98 from CD-ROM" and
then get the A:\> prompt but can not type in anything.
What am I supposed to do to install W2KP?

it doesn't sound like your PC is set to boot off the CDROM, suggest you
check your BIOS settings.

the Missing Operating System message is because the PC is trying to boot off
the new blank harddrive.
