I want to do a fresh install and format the hard disk but
the delete partition and create partition is not available
during the configuration. The screen has the D and C
option but pressing these keys does nothing. Only the
enter key is valid. The hard drive on has one partition
on it and is ntfs formated.

Thank you

Hm...That doesn't sound right to me, but you can always try FDISK on a DOS
floppy to remove the partition (it can be remade during 2000 setup)

Thanks for the input. I used FDISK and deleted the ntfs
partition and now the configure setup of 2000 install is
giving me the option to format the drive. I've been at
this for 7 hours, but I'm getting somewhere.

=========Suggestion===========
After you press "D" to delete the partition you are taken
to a screen where you need to press "L" to actually delete
the partition.
After that you are returned to the screen that will allow
you to press "C" to create a new partition.
If this is not happening then you can use a DOS Disk to
boot then use the DOS "FDISK" command to delete the NON-
DOS Partition. Then you can re-create the partition.
You could also put the drive into an alternate computer as
a Slave or Secondary Controller Master and format the HDD.
You could accomlish this with an External USB Caddy also.
Then re-install the HDD in your server nd proceed as usual.
