Folders Disappeared from Window mail

After I hit the button to empty the items in the Deleted folder, all my
folders that I had created (files I had been carrying for 2 years from
Outlook to Vista) disappeared. Where did they go? Can I get them back? I
checked the recicle bin and there are not there.
