running XP
When I try to access a floppy drive with a floppy inserted I get the
following

Disk in Drive A is not formatted
Do you want to format
yes or no
If I say yes Windows comes back and says can not format disk

the drive powers up green light comes on and it looks like it's trying
to read the disk
the disk has files and is error free

would like some help

Have you tried another floppy disk? Does it do this for all disk put into
the drive? If it is a singularity, then obvious something was done to
affect your floppy disk.

nothing to do with the floppy drive....
it`s a bios setting...
without looking at it , i think it`s something like " floppy copy protection
" or something...
have to disable it in the bios...
just look at your settings , in there somewhere...
