Can someone point me to a website that will show me how to use the filter in
AD? I haven't been able to get it to do a thing I want, yet.

I want to see all users in a specific distribution list/group.

Any help would be great!

Andrew

What do you want to filter out? Group Policies, if so read the links below,
if not define what you want to do exactly.

Windows XP: To filter the scope of Group Policy according to security group
membership:

Like I said I want to see Members of a Specific Group/DL.

When I open AD Users & Computers and select Users, I want to set a filter so
all I see are the members of a specific group.

Not sure how to be more specific than that.

Sorry Andrew I should read more care full.

Click View -> Filter Options

Click the radio button Create custom and click Customize.

In the appearing Windows. Click Field, Click Users , Click Member of.

This actually only allows you do to so with in the current OU you are in. To
View All Users belongs to a specific group, You can customize the same query
in using Find function with in AD Users and Computer. you will then returns
a complete list.

I think this is the closest we can come.
