Say what? Microsoft Windows 95? Microsoft Windows XP?
I don't think you're going to be able to just copy a shortcut from Windows
95 to Windows XP and expect it to work. You need to install the program on
your XP machine. And programs that were designed for Windows 95 might not
run on your Windows XP machine.

: Windows 95 uses 16 bit file storage...window xp uses 32
: bit...they are incompatible...both data and programs. I
: have win2k and have option to format drives for 16 or 32
: bit. If xp give same options you can copy data to xp from
: 95 if you format with 16 bit...but it is a much less
: efficient file storage sytem, wasting space etc. Usually
: not recommended. Don't know of third party software that
: can overcome limitations..but there may be some.
