*fourth time i post this with no answer*
I am trying to use msn messenger file sharing with a friend, and I am
getting that error "unable to create the shared or(and) download directory".
I am using MSN Messenger 6.1 (the latest build).
I have also tried deleting the MSN FILE SHARING directory in MY DOCUMENTS,
and it is still not working, giving me the same error!
Any help greatly appreciated.. this used to work for me sometime ago, i do
not understand why it does not work now. I lately changed something in my
WINDOWS SERVICES (services.msc), disabled some of them on startup, but that
was a recommendation
from a windows xp tweak site. Might any of the servces effect FILE SHARING?
I can send and receive files normally, using the normal method, but FILE
SHARING mode just does not work.
Also, sometimes while a file is being transfered, it suddenly changes in my
messenger to CANCELED, while on the other end it is still sending. Sometime
the oppositte happens, that is displays the progresss normally on my
messenger, but on the other hand it says canceled.]
What is the solution to those problems? Plz help!!!
