File - Get External Data - Import - Text Type - Advanced - Specs PROBLEM

Can anyone assist me with a problem ?

When attempting to specify an import specification using ;

File - Get External Data - Import - Text Type - Advanced - Specs

Is it possible to specify a Spec layout, save it and then - at a later
point - amend the Spec ?

If anyone could assist, I would be very grateful.

Hi Michael,

After clicking advanced, use the Save As... button to
save the spec the first time (after you have set the
import criteria of course). From then on you use the
Specs... button to open a saved spec. To modify one that
has been saved, just open it from the list in specs...
and then make your changes and either resave it to the
original name or resave it to a new name.
