Feeling silly - put NEWS on menu bar, not under "Go"

I have an XP system, at SP2 and up-to-date. Office 2003, up-to-date.

In Outlook, I wanted to load the "NEWS" command and followed the
instructions... except that maybe I let go of the command News on the menu
bar, (it seems) not under GO. Actually, I think it did get under GO at
first and I loaded this news server and checked some messages. My confusion
stems from the fact that I powered down and back on and could not find News
under GO. It was beside Go. I also noted that when I boot up the folder
Windows\System32 opens on screen. Well, I deleted News from the menu bar
and tried to install it back per the help directions... but NEWS is not in
the list of commands anymore.

I have run the Detect and Repair, and even selected setting back to the
default settings. No luck.

When I restart the system, an error report appears stating that Generic Host
Process for Win32 Services is shutting down.

So, anyone out there able to help me out of this jam?

TIA!

Paul

The answer has been posted here thousands of time.
To get the News command back, go back to the Programs tab in Control Panel |
Internet Options and change the default newsreader to Outlook Express. If
OE prompts you to make it your default newsreader the next time you launch
it, clear the "Always perform this check..." box and then click the No
button.
