Failed attempt to join a domain

I have a problem with a standalone W2k workstation that I
tried to join to my domain. I added it via the network
applet in control panel. It seemed to work but when it
rebooted I tried to login and it can't log me into the
domain or even into the workstation. I would like to at
least get back to where I started, i.e. standalone. The
error message I get when I try to login says that the
system's computer account in the domain is missing or that
the password is incorrect. Thanks
