I was just looking at my ipconfig command and found an interesting
anomoly that I hadn't seen before on my W2K computer.

I have an extra entry that I can't figure out. It just seemed to show
up. I don't know where it came from or what it is for. It isn't in my
network places properties.

It's the first ethernet adapter with no address.

Anyone seen this before or know what it is?

i assume you are asking about the noc extranet access adapter... that is
probably the virtual adapter for the bay networks vpn.

That's the one.

But I don't have any VPN software running on my system and I have never
used Bay Networks stuff. I also looked on the net for this and there
seems to be about 30 references to it (same mac address also), but no
one saying what it is.
