Exporting e-mail adresses frm access to outlook

In a member database we have registred E-mail adresses. It's a text field.
When I import the data from access to outlook for use, I only get one letter
back, the rest thisappear in the E-mail field. All other fields are
correct(name, adresss, postal code etc.).

Can anyone explain me a safe method ?
