on my IBM 8305-85u workstation i have an problem.
On starting the workstation if I open windows explorer and
explode my computer I see only my local drives - my LAN
drives do not appear.
Shortly after this explorer will stop responding.
If I open a command window I can 'cd' to my F: G: etc
drives.
All my co-workers have no problem with the network. The
NIC card is fine and so is the cable.
Here is my work around:
When I quickly push the power button in a moment or two
the message this message appears "The device driver for
the 'Standard 101/102-Key or Microsoft Natural PS/2
Keyboard' device is preventing the machine from entering
standby. Please close all applications and try again. IF
the problem persists, you may need to update this driver.
I click OK.
Immediately after this the explorer works fine the LAN
drives appear and the machine performance is normal.
My attempts to solve the problem:
If found an KB article 257199 which says that there can be
problems with Adobe Reader 4.
I was using, uninstalled it upgraded to Adobe Reader 6.
But I still have the same problem.
