Hello
Some nice person emailed us the following virus and Kaspersky has been going
nuts with a virus alert telling us that code suspected for
Exploit.IFrame.FileDownload in our outlook express inbox and deleted box.
Thats what I would expect Kaspersky to do, and it does.
I now cannot access my inbox or deleted box to delete the dreaded email,
saying that this folder (inbox & deleted box) cannot be opened. Is there a
repair somewhere to allow me to open said folders? I dont think the virus is
installed in our PC, just parked in our inbox file.

cheers
andrew

Erm it doesn't seem to need to be repaired, it needs to be *released*.
KAV doesn't quarantine, per se, but it does lock down whatever it has
found until given further instructions. However if XP/OE isn't fully
uptodate opening (or previewing) the mail may then infect you with
whatever that file is.

I'd first make sure all scripting, particularly Active-X, and the
preview pane, are disabled in OE's settings, then disable KAV's
automatic scanning, and you should then be able to safely open your
inbox and delete the offending e-mail, along with all deleted mail.

Don't forget to re-enable KAV and visit Windows Update often.

Carol
