Well, if you reinstalled the OS over itself, possibly to resolve other
issues that you have not mentioned here, there are so many possibilities of
corrupt files, drivers, etc., the possibilities just endless and virtually
impossible to determine the root of the issue.
Also, this should be posted to the windowsxp.games newsgroup and when you do
so, give them more information, as in did you install XP Home over your
previous setup and be sure to mention XP Home was the install OS as well as
the reason why chose to install XP Home over your previous setup as that may
give some clues as well.
