Yes, you are correct. Just use the drop down after a completed scan to
"always ignore" proper applications such as VNC. I too use VNC and have them
set to "Always Ignore"
Though would still be nice to pre-exclude specific files and directories.
Especially during beta testing.

And when there is cookie scanning, also
the option for whitelist/blacklist cookies.
