When I close an Excel file that is located on a file
server it takes about a minute for Excel to finish saving
it. I'm running Excel XP in Windows XP on a Windows NT 4.0
network. I finally had to turn off the "recently used file
list" to eliminate the problem. However not having quick
access to recently used files is just another annoyance. I
only have this problem at the office. I have a network at
home and I don't have this problem. However at home I have
an NT 2000 file server.
