Error when using DBLink with OracleClient

Hi,

I am using OracleClient with Oracle 8.1.7 & .NET framework
1.1. Everything works fine and I can read / write data to
Oracle.

However, if I try to access data from a table not local to
the database but accessible via a DB LINK, I get following
error :

System.Data.OracleClient.OracleException: ORA-02041:
client database did not begin a transaction

I do not need transactions and have tried to set the
Enlist flag in connection string to false but that did not
help.

Please Help !
