I'm running WinXP Pro with all updates. I'm having this same error message
problem. It first occurred a couple of months ago while I was still using
IE6. I downloaded IE7 the other day, but Movie Maker still doesn't want to
work. I followed all the instructions from Dean Rowe's WebLog which involved
reinstalling XP SP2 and I also checked the error log. It said: "Faulting
application moviemk.exe version 2.1.4026.0 faulting module qedit.dll version
6.5.2600.21800, fault address 0x0001ad8d." WHAT NOW??? This is driving me
crazy.
