after installing XP SP3, i keep getting error message on start-up -
"hphmon06.exe 'unable to locate component' - application has failed to start
because hpzjrd01.dll was not found. re-installing the application may fix
this problem"

having problems with hp printer psc1610 all-in-one - mssupport.microsoft.com
tells me to uninstall printer and re-install - i have done this many times
following their instructions but they do not solve this problem..

i have asked them where or how to get the hpzjrd01.dll back on my machine,
but they won't give me a straight answer, they just keep telling me to
uninstall and re-install....

hphmon06.exe is related to the Hewlett Packard software HP Photosmart
printer, it provides easy access to flash card reading functions. The
software may have been uninstalled properly. You may try installing and
uninstalling the software using instructions from its documentation.

You may also try using the system configuration utility (msconfig)
You invoke it by clicking Start then Run. In the Open box, type msconfig.exe
followed by enter. Once displayed, click on the "Startup" tab. You will see a
list of items and the 2 columns that we're interested in are "Startup Item"
look for hphmon06 and "Command" look for hphmon06.exe.
Note you can expand the width of Command column by holding down the left
mouse button with the cursor on the vertical line between the column headings
and then dragging the mouse to the right.
To stop the process click on the box on its left to remove the check mark.

Or it is much easier to use a utility such as Startup Inspector (
http://www.windowsstartup.com/ ) to stop hphmon06.exe from running at
startups.

Hi Rosie,
I am getting the same message the you are about the missing dll file.
What did you do with the file after you downloaded it. I am unsure of what
to do after i download the file. Any help that you can give would be
appreciated. Hope to hear from you soon.

Thank you
Laura
