Error message 80070005 in Media Player

I downloaded Media Player 9 for Windows 98SE and now when i try to access it
the new and old versions come up and it give me this error message. Please
help as I was doing this so my wife could watch an international TV program.
Or can I just go back to the old one?

Did you download WMP9 series for 98,try re-downloading,reinstall,WMP9
uninstalls the current,then installs.
