I am trying entries to the registry to support
enhancements to existing VB code. I have added the
registry entries to my local PC. I then exported my
registry entries and moved the file to production server.
I then added the new items by double clicking on the
registy file in windows explorer (when I double clicked I
was asked if I wanted to add the registry entries to the
registry and I selected yes). After this step, I did a
regedit and saw the new registry entries on the server
registry.
When I attempted to execute my VB code it fails with error
can't get registry entry. So I decided to restore the
registry from the server registry backup (export) from
regedit and doing import but I get an error saying error
accessing the registry!! what happened here, what did I do
wrong please help.
