We have approximately 6 separate databases that were created in Access 2000.
We are currently running Access 2003 and everything has always been working
fine. Recently "The database has been placed in a state by user *** on
machine *** that prevents it from being opened or locked. (Error 3734).
This error occurs when either one of us tries to access any of our databases
(not just a particular one).

We have no security locks in place.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

With everyone out of the database(s), open the folder(s) where they are located, and if you see a file with a '.ldb' extension, delete it.

Then open the database(s) and compact it (Tools, Database Utilities, Compact)
