I got my R200 this past May. Nice little printer, I've been using it mostly
for my DVD/CD printing on inkjet printable disks and as a default printer
for text, using my 2200 Epson for most of the photo work. It works very
well, is fairly miserly on ink when just doing the work I described, still
on my original cartridges, but have ordered a replacement set from Atlex
just the other day.
I don't think you'll be sorry with the R200.

The CD's need 24 hours to dry, ink is not waterproof, so you must spray the
CD with clear lacquer.

If you're talking about the 24-hour drying part, it's in the manual.
That's the little book that comes with the printer that almost nobody
ever reads. ;-)

Might be optimal, but I've put them directly into a DVD player a
couple minutes after printing and they work fine and the artwork isn't
harmed.

Read the last bit "experience" and this is from printing over 400 CD's
on the R210. I purposely wet the CD's as an experiment as to evaluate
the effect after it had been mentioned here in this Forum.

And then to say spray the CD with clear lacquer thats like saying every
sheet of paper that's printed on dye based inkjet printers must be
sprayed with clear lacquer cause its not waterproof. Do you take CD's
swimming cause they are a plastic base think not.

Suggest you read correctly what has been said before making statements
like the one above. The key words were - 24hrs to DRY & SPRAY with
LACQUER.
