I have a 640 that I don't use very often. I recently tried to use it and it
won't print black. I tried another cartridge and that didn't print either.

Cleaned the heads with the utility a couple of times. No good. Ran nozzle
check and cleaning routines a couple of more times. Nothing.

Do I need to soak the heads to clean them? If so, how do I remove them and
what do I soak them in? Pointers, please...

TIA...

Hi Steve,

I have had the same problem with my 895 and cured it with Windolene the the
plain white type, I think it's called Windex in the USA. I removed the cart
and dripped it into the nozzles with a very small shringe, it worked very
well, no trouble since.

Hello again -

A little Windex (US) and an eyedropper cured my problem in ma matter of
minutes, literally. Printer works fine now.

Thanks to all who responded.
