Using outlook 2003, when i open an email, the message "your current security
settings prohibit running activex controls on this page" pops up. I can't see
how to add the sender to trusted publishers or otherwise allow this email to
run properly. What am I missing?

Why would you want to allow active content to execute in mail? That seems
to be asking for trouble in my opinion.

Mr. Tillman:

Hmmm . . . you answered a question with a question. It's a good question
though with a simple answer.

I get a daily email via feedburner from techcrunch.com and I get the message
I posted in my question, "your current security settings prohibit running
activex controls on this page."

I trust techcrunch, so I would like to know how to enable activex. Can you
help?

Thanks!

You have a couple of options. You can change the zone Outlook uses for
displaying messages (opening a security hole) or you change the Restricted
zone so that it allows active content (also a security hole). You can also
try using Actions>View in Browser to open the message in IE.
