      17th Feb 2005
I have tried clearing the protected storage provider and it did not work for
me. I upgraded from office 2000 to 2003 on Windows XP. Does anyone have
another solution?

Not sure... I deleted the registry entry:
hkey_current_user\software\microsoft\protected storage system
provider\s-1-5-21........
