I have a web site designed by who-knows-what. I'm trying to edit this site
using MS FrontPage. How can I "open" this site, page by page and edit? How
can I "repost" it. I've got all passwords, just need help in getting to that
point.
THANKS!

You need to use a FTP application to download the site to a folder on your HD, then open the folder
in FP and allow FP to make it a web / site, then you make your changes. Once your changes are done,
then open the live/remote site via FTP and delete the current content, then open FP and publish it
to the live/remote site.

If you feel your current issue is a results of installing
a Service Pack or security update, please contact
Microsoft Product Support Services:

If the problem can be shown to have been caused by a
security update, then there is usually no charge for the call.

Connect to the site with WS_FTP, select all the files in the site, and GET
them all to some location on your HD.

Once I have them on the HD, is there something to make FP recognize that it's
a web site? When trying to OPEN SITE, it doesn't "see" it as a web site at
this time.

FP should prompt you to allow it to make the folder with the content a web.

All the files you FTP'd need to be in single a folder (subfolders under it are OK) - say C:\Myweb
Then In FP use File Open Web/Site and browse to that folder (C:\Myweb) for FP to convert it to a web
