Echo/Message display problem

Hello ...

In Access 2003 I could place an Echo command in a macro to turn on or off
confirmation messages from action queries etc. According to Microsoft
online documentation you should still be able to do this, but I don't get
that option in macros in 2007. I know you can do something like this in the
"Advanced" options, but as far as I can see that applies to all actions in
the database.

Also I have run an action query in a macro, followed by a query to display
information (run from a command button)and get an information message "the
data has changed", I have to click the button again to run the macro .. I
also did this with vba code and got the same result.

My questions: can I suppress confirmation displays and information messages
from access. The only messages I want to display are my own.

Any help on this would be most appreciated

ABay

ABay,

It is the SetWarnings action, not Echo, that you would use in a macro to
suppress the display of the action query confirmation messages.
