What advantages and disadvantages will I have using non ECC ram in my system?

Advantages of non-ECC:
1. Cheaper
2. Many sources on the Internet claim it runs
2 to 3 percent faster.

Disadvantages:
1. Undetected memory errors can corrupt your
disk and registry, and cause MRC's (mysterious
random crashes).

ECC and non-ECC don't mix: Mixing them causes
all RAM ECC checking to be disabled.
