Dynamic Disk Offline

I was moving my disks around on a recently rebuild XP pro SP2 (changing IDE
channels) and my dynamic disk is coming up listed as "Offline" when in fact
it is not offline. The system bios recognizes, and Windows see's it, but
lists it as offline. When I try to reactive it, I get an error that tells me
to refer to the system logs. The system logs indicate a possible formatting
error in a certain sector on the disk. I've tried uninstalling the disk in
Windows, but it still comes up as offline with it reinstalls.

Any clue as to what is going on? Can I some how repair that sector without
too much loss of data? What are my options?
