This article might be an interesting read for anyone else that is considering the jump to a DX10 graphics card. The screenshots in this article are the best part, as newer games really do seem to take advantage of the new DX10 features:

I have a DX10 graphics card but I don't have Windows Vista or any games that support DX10.

One day maybe I will. Until I'm positive lots of games will run in Vista and there are plenty of DX10 game titles about, I'll stick with XP.

I do concede that eventually I may purchase Vista.

The screen shot comparisons in that test were quite incredible actually, I do look forward to the day I'll be playing Games using DX10.

I notice from that review that Call of Juarez was released in the UK last Autumn with only DX9 support. It was released in the USA in June 2007 with DX10 support. Will we in the UK be able purchase the DX10 version? Will it still be at a budget price? I do wonder...

I notice that my latest game, Bioshock, doesn't have DX10 support.

Maybe I'll revisit this area in twelve months time...

Yes it does. Although to be fair the difference isn't a lot. Bioshock is the first 'true' DX10 game, others have had DX10 patches. (Sup Com for one.)

Well, must admit all I done was a quick eyeball of the game case, it only mentions DX9.0c on there.

I'm up to 3rd level now, btw, but have been encouraged to go back and harvest all the little sisters.

You know theres two ending? If you save the little sisters you get the good ending.
