I have saved my movie in 5 different recommended setting types and none of
them will playback on either of our DVD players. I'm using DVD+ R and
DVD+RW. I'm also using record now version 7 to burn. Any idea what my problem
is? Thank you for any input.

Record Now according to their website is not a DVD Authoring program.
With Record Now you are only creating a "Data" DVD meaning you are simply
copying the AVI or WMV file from your computer to the blank DVD.
This will NOT create a "Proper" DVD that will play in a home DVD Player but
only a disc that can play on your computer with a Media Player.
To create a "Proper" DVD you need a DVD Authoring program such as Ulead
Movie Factory. See my website for a list of DVD authoring programs as well
as links to download trial versions and Step-by-step tutorials for some of
them.

Thank you very much. I have spent many, many hours seeking help from
Microsoft, Toshiba, Sonic and many other hopefuls with zero success.

Your welcome.
I recommend following the link on my site and downloading Ulead Movie
Factory.
The demo download is a perfectly working demo for I believe 30 days so you
can check it out before you spend a dime.
The program is fairly easy to use and has all the features you will need.
