DV Editing on AIW 9800 pro using audigy ieee 1394 port

Hi,

Just bought an AIW 9800 pro on E-bay. I know it doesn't have a FiWi
port but will someone please tell me if the following is possible :

Plug your DV camcorder through the ieee 1394 port on an SB audigy an
then edit that video with the bundled software that came with the
radeon (Pinnacle) ?

Will the software use the hardware mpeg 2 encoding option of the AIW
or not ?

If I want to do DV editing and go buy a FiWi card, then my AIW becomes
useless as video editing goes, am I right ?
