Duplicating folders and files

I'm having a problem with FrontPage 2003 where when I
open up a web, the folders and files are duplicated 2 and
sometimes even more times. They'll have the exact same
name. Then when you try and back up the web, it gives an
error, "You have specified identical destination
filenames for some of the files you are trying to copy.
Make sure all destination files have unique names and try
again.".

I've captured the FrontPage screen with the duplicating
errors at http://www.allinoneaccess.com/dupe.htm so that
you can physically see what the problem is. The strange
part is that when I access via FrontPage from another
computer it doesn't do it. Does anyone know what causes
this or better yet how to stop it?

try tools/ recalculate hyperlinks and see if that helps. since this is only
happening on one computer try help/ detect and repair (in FrontPage) on the
offending computer.

Have you tried the usual repairs in the sequence below:
1) In Windows Explorer Find and delete all FP Temp Files
- in FP 2003 you need to look in the super hidden folder
%USERPROFILE%\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files\FrontPageTempDir
2) In Windows Explorer Find and delete all hidden *.web files, usually in
%USERPROFILE%\Application Data\Microsoft\Web Server Extensions\Cache
3) Run a Repair on IE
(see http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=318378 )
4) Install all Service Packs for your OS, IE, MS Office and your Video card
(Windows Update and Office Update sites, plus your video card supplier site)
5) Open FP and Disable or Uninstall any FP Addins,
6) Open your FP Web/Site and run a Tools Recalculate Hyperlinks
