I have an existing website that I would like to duplicate
to a new server and decommission the old web server. The
OLD server does not have FrontPage extensions so i am
looking for a way to use FrontPage to essentially suck
all the content and directory structure off the OLD
server and then create a new FrontPage enabled site with
same content on the NEW server.

Can any version of Frontpage do this?

Fred

Fred:

Can you tell me how you did that? I too want to switch my site to a FP
server. Once you import, then what? Sorry, I'm a newbie.

Renae,
"Import" will not import all files. Open the site in
Internet Explorer, and choose Edit in FrontPage from the
File drop down menu. The PUBLISH the site to your hard
drive (ignoring the message that the extensions are not
available). Then open the site on your hard drive make
what ever revisions you wish and then Publish to the new
server.
