duplicates in my metwork places

Last time I didn't get a helpful answer, and that thread might now be being
avoided because there was a reply ...

I am using my network places instead of creating drive mappings.
When I create one, I use a different description from the default.
e.g. I use "ConnRDP (DE)" instead of "Connections on ededs01"

When I actually use one of those in Explorer, next time I look at the my
network places I have TWO entries.
The one I want, and the default that I don't !
