messages from groups or individuals come with the message also attached as an
html attachment. these do NOT come with messages from business',such as
gevalia coffee,etcetera.
i installed windows live to use as mail, but encountered same problem.
any help appreciated,but please remember im not a tech, so if you could
simplify as much as possible, id appreciate it!

If it happens with both clients then I suspect a server issue or maybe
somethig to do with the html rendering engine.
What type of email aacounts does this effect?
What version of Outlook is installed? What version of IE is installed?

re installed IE7-not sure of version of OE,came with XP install disk.
the attachments come from my groups, as well as personal e mail.but, for
instance, no attachment when i was notified of your response.
im sorry im not a tech type-where do i check for version of OE?

if this is OE then it's best to ask in an OE news group and not an Outlook
one.
I suspect now you have added more info that the issue is the source of the
emails that you have no control over.

Bill- i recently downloaded IE7, and use OE6
it seems to mostly affect personal e mail, from friends and groups. if i get
an e mail from companies,like JC Whitney, theres no attachment,
also seems to keep me from downloading pictures.like from Yahoo Personals.
