Good Day,

Has anybody seen an issue with Duplicated all day events in Outlook 2007

I have two users who are showing duplicated all day events out of the blue.
We are connected to a 2003 SP1 Exchange server.

They are also connected to PIMS but we are trying to figure out of this is
an issue with Outlook or the PIM connecting causing this problem.

If anybody has seen this issue please let me know

I have tuned off the cache file so Outlook is running right from the
Exchange Server.

Thanks
Adam Raff

Hi Adam,

When you say PIMS, do you refer to Personal Information Management Software? Do you mean that you also connect to the exchange
email account via Pocket PC?

Normally, Outlook doesn't generate the duplicated items. Please perform the steps below to narrow down if the issue is related to
Outlook 2007 or the PIM connecting.

1. Go to the calendar folder.
2. Click View > current view > all appointments.
3. Right click on the column name and choose 'field chooser' > drag the 'all day event' to the column name.
4. Exit the 'field chooser'.
5. Click the 'all day event' column to sort it.
6. Keep pressing Ctrl and choose the duplicated items. Press Shift+Delete to delete them.
7. Add several test all day events. Keep using Outlook. Restart Outlook. And etc. Don't connect the PIM.
What is the result? Are the all day events duplicated?

Connect the PIM. Restart Outlook. Are the all day events duplicated?

If the issue is related to the PIM Connecting, please contact the vendor of the PIM connecting for more information.

If anything is unclear or if you have any other concerns, please don't hesitate to contact me.

Regards,

Emily Lin
