Duplicated email delivery - Office 2K

How do I stop outlook downloading emails twice? I am using Office 2K, and
XP for os.

In the account properties I have the option ticked to keep a copy of the
email on server until they are deleted from outlook. Now outlook is
delivering 2 of everything.

Is there a way of stopping this without unchecking the option? I am about
to move and need to keep a copy on the server in case their are any
unforseen glitches.

Thanks in advance.

Sorted thanks.

I think where I went wrong was the difference between an alias and a
separate mail box. I'm using yahoo at the moment and set hubby up a 2nd
email address on mine and set up a separate outlook account to collect it,
hence the double collection. So I removed the separate outlook account and
just set the rules to sweep his emails into his folder. Duplicates fixed.

Again thanks for your prompt support. I was just going round in circles.
This moving lark seems to innactivate half the old brain cells.
