I have recently added a second monitor to my system. My video card is a
NVIDIA GeForce4 TI 4200. The System is Gateway and I'm using a Gateway
FPD1830 digital LCD (1) and ViewSonic VA720-2 analog LCD (2). The is XP
Home.

My display properties are set so that the ViewSonic LCD (2) is used as the
primary monitor and the Gateway LCD (1) is set so to extend my windows
desktop onto this monitor.

Dialog boxes and desktop shortcut icons are displayed on the primary monitor
(2). However, the taskbar resides on monitor (1). Is there some way to
select which monitor that the taskbar resides?

Install and use the drivers from there. The applications it install will
let you do MANY things like what you want.
