Using 2k, when shut down, it will' shut down/power off' by itself. However,
if using xpsp2, you have to manually power off by pushing the button, why?
Thought the bios wud be the same for both OS. Wud like to have xp
automatically shutdown, how do I do it?
TIA

Please - in the future notice you are not using instant messaging or text
messaging.
I lean towards the first definition of the acronym you chose to use over and
over.. *grin*

Read through this web site and see if it helps solve your trouble.

(Please note that the BIOS *is* the same for both OSes, as it is a hardware
component you would have to flash, and once flashed would STILL be the same
for both OSes on the machine. You are seeing a difference in how Windows XP
is treating what it sees vs Windows 2000.)

The information is provided "as is", it is suggested you research for
yourself before you take any advice - you are the one ultimately responsible

I would quess it is a problem with your video card. If it is Nvidea then try
disabling the NVIDEA Display Driver Service.
