Hi

I've got a computer running win 2000 using an NTFS environment. I want
to add a win95 partition, onto a different harddrive. How do I do
this?

Need Win95 for unsupported TV-in card.

Thanks

C

You'll need a third party boot manager for this.

Installing the w95 is the same as you would normally, boot
with a w95 dos disc, hopefully you have cdrom access
supported under w95, actually w98se would be much better.
it has built in cdrom drivers as well as w98. and format
your proper hd and install w95/98

managing the boot menu will take a third party piece of
software called boot magic.

As other respondents said, you need a third-parth boot manager
to do this. XOSL can do it. It's free.

Hey

I've used Partition Magic and BootMagic to make a FAT 2GB on my hard
drive, and have sorted out the boot loader.

What I can't figure out is how to install Win 95 now. It won't install
using a startup floppy with the CD. It asks if I have a 'HTFS'
system.

Is there any way I can installl Win 95 from within win2000?

Thanks

or do this, remove or disable your primary hd with w2k on
it.
make the second hd the primary drive, boot to the floppy
format /s and then try your w95 install.
When finished, make sure to change the jumpers to make the
drive a secondary not a primary, and then try your Boot
Magic to see the second drive.

Are you missing the cdrom drivers?? is that the problem?
try getting a w98 boot floppy image (download it) I forget
the url but search for it on the net, bootdisc.com I think

If you were using the XOSL boot loader then you would do this:
- Disconnect your primary disk
- Make your second disk your primary desk
- Set it "active"
- Load Win95
- Restore the original disk configuration
- Add Win98 to the XOSL boot menu
- Instruct XOSL to hide all other partitions
