I want to install two drives. each will be primary1 and
primary 2 in same computer. I want to have xp pro on both
drives. Is this possible to have and use both , one at a
time as needed? Will I get a choice menue at boot up as
to what drive I want to use.? Thanks for any help yopu
can give me.

you could have dual booth and both XP but of course only one at a time. Just be sure that when you tried to install it, choose the partition either C: or D: (one at a time). You could change the boot up name and sequence on boot.ini or right click my computer, properties, advanced -- on the startup and recovery, settings then edit.
>> well, i hope it will help!

I tried to do this on my system, but after the repair re-booted the
system, I got a message that a file (asmc ?) could not be found on the
XP CDROM and wanted to know where to find it. It did not seem to want
to read the XP CD. Could the problem be that I have a DVD writer as my
primary drive and I booted from XP CD in the secondary CD-ROM drive?
Could XP be trying to read the other drive?
