I dual boot 2k and 98,and have for years, same machine.
after up dating my bios for prescott compatibility
soyo sy-p4865PE plus dragon2 awd bios file 865l2ba1
I now recieve the following error when booting into 2k

ntoskern.exe is either courupt or missing reinstall this
file ....(this happends instantly after making the
selection)

and the system halts.
If I revert my Bios to the previous version things are
back to normal. 98 works fine with both bios

Hi, I am not sure I think the file is on your w2k cd. Try
to locate it on your winnt or may be system32 and replace
it with the original one on your cd. Let me know what
happend. m

You may have to modify the hidden file c:\boot.ini - see here:
http://support.microsoft.com/default...b;en-us;103673

Note that the correct file name is "ntoskrnl.exe". You might be
able to find more references to it in the MS KBase.
